3. What works here may not work elsewhere. Likewise.

自己可以掌握的,才是资产

谨记以下第九个 slide 的布局,万变不离其宗

Updated 21st July, 2026:

YouTube just wiped out

- 16 channels,
- 35 million subscribers, and
- 4.7 billion combined views

in one of the biggest content purges
the platform has ever executed.

And the reason is something the internet has a very specific name for now.

AI slop.

These weren't small channels gaming a corner of the algorithm.

Some of them had nearly 6 million subscribers.
One AI-generated Dragon Ball knockoff channel alone had racked up 1.28 BILLION views.
Another automated religious storytelling channel had 5.87 million subscribers.

Together these 16 channels were pulling in an estimated $10 million a year in ad revenue.

All of it built on automated voiceovers, recycled visuals, AI-generated scripts, and zero human creativity.

Here's what YouTube found when they started looking at the top 100 most-subscribed AI slop channels identified in late 2025:

- 16 of those 100 channels have since been fully removed or had every single video wiped
- The 16 channels combined had 35 million subscribers and 4.7 billion lifetime views
- They were collectively generating around $10 million annually in monetization revenue
- Roughly 21% of videos appearing in YouTube feeds were AI-generated at the peak of the problem
- Consumer enthusiasm for AI-created content has COLLAPSED from 60% in 2023 to just 26% in 2025

YouTube CEO Neal Mohan put it plainly in his annual letter: "It's becoming harder to detect what's real and what's AI-generated."

Now here's what this actually means for anyone building a brand, a business, or an audience online.

The window for gaming platforms with mass-produced AI content is closing FAST.

YouTube isn't banning AI tools.

They're banning lazy, low-value, misleading content that happens to be made with AI.

That distinction matters enormously for creators who are using AI responsibly versus the ones who treated it like a money printer with no creative input required.

The platforms are getting smarter.
The audiences are getting more skeptical.

And the creators who built real audiences by showing up with genuine perspective and actual value are about to have a LOT less competition cluttering the algorithm around them.

Authenticity just got a massive tailwind and most people haven't noticed yet.
