AI Safety In case you missed it: This clip we made of Australia's Assistant Tech Minister Andrew Charlton MP's recent speech on AI safety has gone viral on our video platforms this week, getting over 1.5 million views. The OpenAI 2016 boat race example is a good illustration of the kind of reward hacking behavior we see in powerful AIs today. This is the sort of tendency that led to AIs going rogue inside OpenAI and deciding they needed to hack a rival company to most effectively cheat on a test. Charlton very clearly explains how AIs take actions against human intent, even blackmailing to preserve themselves in tests.
