Inflation Nation

图片
Thanks to recent skyrocketing inflation, the citizens could no longer afford to eat. The middle class was starting to starve. There's an old saying that's used to define the temperament of oppressed people: “Bread and Circuses”... It dates back to just before the fall of the Roman Empire in 100 A.D., and is derived from the observation that people will put up with nearly all sorts of tyranny and injustice, so long as the mob has food and entertainment. What's happening across the world is a result of their food becoming too expensive. Feeling the same pain, just days after the first protests in Tunisia, the riot fever spread to Algeria — where protesters hit the streets, carrying signs that read “We Want Sugar!” Next to fall, for the same reasons, was Egypt... Then Libya. You get the point. You hear about it every day. But what many in the mainstream press fail to realize, is that these protests and riots aren't simply because of a harsh dictator. Anyone over ...

How the Government is Stealing Your Food?

图片
For starters, is the United States Government really "stealing your food?" Absolutely... How is this happening? Well, the way it works is, rather than intervening in grocery stores, or factories where all of this food is produced, the government (via a secret organization that is only required to reveal a fraction of their financial dealings) instead intervenes earlier in the process... in your pocketbook and bank account. Essentially, what they do is alter your money in a special way so that when you go to the grocery story, the grocery store will actually give you less food than the same money could buy just a few weeks ago. This occurs in a series of steps. Let me explain... STEP 1) It starts at the top. The "theft" begins when the Federal Government needs some money. They call up the Federal Reserve and ask for help. The Federal Reserve is the small and secretive group I've alluded to. They're like the Government's own private bank. They...

Inflation Explained

图片
This is what most people refer to as "inflation." For instance, let's say you have $100,000 in the bank. At 9.6%, which many folks believe to be the real rate of inflation...here's what your money would look like over time: Value of $100,000 After the Effects of 9.6% Inflation per Year Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 Year 4 Year 5 Year 6 Year 7 Year 8 Year 9 Year 10 $91,241 $83,249 $75,957 $69,304 $63,234 $57,695 $52,641 $48,030 $43,823 $39,985 After a decade of 9.6% inflation, you'd be left with $39,985. A $60,000 loss, just by doing nothing! With inflation, the Government is stealing money from your bank account! But really, the way it works out is that instead of dipping into your bank account and taking money, your money gets stolen in other ways... Food, energy, water... consumer goods... You see, with each new dollar that's created out of thin air being worth less, producers have ...

Subsidies are NOT sweet deals

Inevitably, reality had to come crashing onto our skulls so that we would awaken and be shocked into a re-think and a re-shape of the grey matter in our heads. The point that was made was: No one will object to cuts in subsidies if they know that the money will be used rightfully on projects that benefit the nation and the people as a whole. .... If five sen is saved from sugar, let the public know how it is spent. Unless an intricate household-to-household survey is done, we are not going to determine the exact number of people who live below the poverty line. Together with the cut in subsidies, we must create a free market for people to trade in goods without any form of restriction which is primarily aimed at protecting certain categories of business people. When restrictions are lifted, there will be competition, which in turn would bring about lower prices which ought to be passed on to the consumer. Unfortunately in our system, benefits to the consumer never seem to be the prior...

Inflation

Inflation, is the increase in prices over time that causes the purchasing power of money to decline. Inflation is something that has the potential to financially wipe you out. However, it can also help you become very wealthy-if you have a high financial IQ like the truly rich do. Inflation is an unavoidable fact of economic life. History is an important teacher, and history teaches us that there have always been, and there will always be, booms and busts in the economy. Essentially, whenever you invest, you're investing in business. And business goes through a cycle. Inflation (expansion) and recession (contraction) are the recurring phases of the cycle, measured by certain economic indicators such as the gross domestic product and the unemployment rate. If you know where the country is in the business cycle, whether it's expanding or contracting, you'll be better able to determine how the businesses you've invested in are performing. Any financial plan you put in plac...
